Open the Registry Editor.

In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/App-V/4.5/ClientConfiguration.

In the details pane, double-click AllowIndependentFileStreaming, enter a value of 1, and then click OK.

In the details pane, double-click ApplicationSourceRoot

Enter the URL to the streaming server. For example, if your streaming server name is StreamingServer then you would enter

― RTSP://StreamingServer:554 and then click OK.

Close the Registry Editor.

In the system tray, right-click the App-V Desktop Client icon and click Refresh Applications.

In the Administrative Tools, click Application Virtualization Client.

In the console tree, click Applications

Right-click an Application [Ex: Word Viewer 2003] and click Properties.

Click the Package tab and view the Package URL field.

You will notice that the package is now streaming from the App-V Streaming Server content share.
